Emily (on right) helped Laura grow this summer.

Emily began a relationship with Jesus just eighteen months ago. But in that time God has been fanning into flame passion for seeing the deaf come into relationship with Jesus.

This past summer, Emily was one of nine students attending the Boston Operations Summer Mission Trip. These students used their skills to produce materials to help campus ministers better connect with students on their campuses.

Emily used her video skills to help reach the deaf community. For much of the summer she added subtitles to an anime version of the Jesus film. Anime is a Japanese style cartoon especially enjoyed by the deaf community.

Emily also created a video short film that she entitled “Silence is Louder.” In her post on YouTube she states, “Silence is Louder was produced to give Deaf students a chance at learning and sharing the love of Christ.”
